Why do founders in Arab countries need a US company?

Founders in Arab countries need a US company because a US LLC opens payment tools that are blocked or limited at home. Residents of many Arab countries cannot open a Stripe account in their own name.

A US LLC with a US bank account changes the question. You no longer apply as a resident of your country. You apply as a US company with a US address, a US tax number and a US business account. The complete guide to a US LLC for Arab founders explains every step in detail.

The path has four steps. Each step has a different decision maker. We call it the Payment Access Ladder.

  1. 01

    Know what is blocked

Check what Stripe and PayPal allow in your country, with the date of the check.

    Decided by: the provider

  2. 02

    US LLC and EIN

Form the Wyoming LLC and get the EIN from the IRS without an SSN.

Decided by: Wyoming and the IRS

  3. 03

    US bank account

Apply to US business accounts with the company documents.

    Decided by: the bank

  4. 04

Stripe or PayPal on the LLC

Apply in the company's name with the US account.

    Decided by: Stripe or PayPal

Arab LLC handles the paperwork for each step. The state approves the company, the IRS issues the EIN, the bank opens the account, and Stripe or PayPal approve the payment account. We prepare and submit. The provider decides.

How does a US LLC help you use Stripe and a US bank account?

A US LLC gives you the three things Stripe and US banks ask for: a registered US company, an EIN, and a US business address through a registered agent. With those, you apply in the company's name instead of your own.

Stripe lists the UAE as a supported country as of October 2026. Residents of many other Arab countries cannot open a Stripe account in their own name. A US company is the legal route to Stripe for founders in those countries. Our Stripe availability tracker by country shows each country with the date of the last check, and the official list is on Stripe's global availability page.

The bank account comes first. Digital banks such as Mercury and Relay accept non-resident owners online. Read the guide to opening a US bank account from an Arab country for documents and timing. After the account is open, you apply for Stripe. The guide to Stripe and payment gateways for Arab founders covers the alternatives when Stripe says no.

The Arab LLC formation service includes the Wyoming LLC filing, a registered agent for the first year, the EIN, an operating agreement, and help applying for a US bank account and Stripe. The price is $397 service + $100 Wyoming state fee = $497 first year.

How does Arab LLC form your US company, step by step?

Arab LLC forms your US company in five steps: you send your details and pay, we file with Wyoming, we apply for the EIN, we prepare the company documents, and we submit your bank and Stripe applications.

StepWhat happensWho decides
1You send a passport, address, three name options and your business activity, then pay for the serviceYou
2We file the LLC with Wyoming and the state reviews the filingWyoming Secretary of State
3We apply for the EIN with Form SS-4, no SSN neededIRS
4We prepare the operating agreement and company fileArab LLC
5We submit bank applications, then the Stripe applicationThe bank, then Stripe

Non-residents get an EIN with IRS Form SS-4 without an SSN(Source: IRS Form SS-4 instructions). The IRS publishes the form and its instructions on irs.gov. You do not need notarized or translated documents.

The order never changes. The EIN request needs the approved company, the bank needs the EIN, and Stripe needs the bank account. Each answer unlocks the next step, so we tell you which office or provider we are waiting on at every stage.

If a bank rejects your application, we apply to another bank. The company and the EIN stay yours in every case.

Which Arab countries does Arab LLC serve?

Arab LLC serves founders who live in 13 Arab countries. These are the countries where US banks and Stripe accept residents in practice. We review the list every 6 months.

GulfNorth AfricaLevant and Horn of Africa
Saudi ArabiaEgyptJordan
United Arab EmiratesMoroccoDjibouti
KuwaitAlgeria
QatarTunisia
OmanMauritania

Each country has its own rules for documents, bank acceptance, payment providers and home taxes. Start with the US LLC guides by Arab country. The most requested guides cover a US LLC from Saudi Arabia, a US LLC from the UAE, a US LLC from Egypt and a US LLC from Morocco.

We do not serve residents of countries under US sanctions or countries whose residents US banks reject in most cases. This protects you from paying for a company that cannot open a bank account. If your country is not on the list, contact us before you pay and we tell you plainly whether we can serve you.

What US tax rules apply to a US LLC owned from an Arab country?

A single-member US LLC owned by a non-resident is a disregarded entity for US federal tax, and it files Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120 every year. Your home country taxes still apply to you.

Foreign-owned single-member LLCs file Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120(Source: Treas. Reg. § 1.6038A-1; IRS instructions). The penalty for a missing Form 5472 is $25,000 per form per year(Source: IRC § 6038A(d); IRS Form 5472 instructions). The IRS explains the filing on the Form 5472 page. Our Form 5472 filing service files it for you each year.

US-formed LLCs are exempt from BOI reporting since 21 March 2025(Source: FinCEN interim final rule, 90 FR 13688), under FinCEN's interim final rule. Wyoming has no state income tax and no franchise tax on LLCs(Source: Wyoming Department of Revenue). The US LLC tax guide for Arab founders covers both sides of the Two-Country Tax Rule in detail. This page is general information, not tax advice.

Who uses a US company: freelancers, store owners or software founders?

A US company fits three groups of Arab founders: freelancers who invoice foreign clients, online store owners who need Stripe at checkout, and software founders who sell subscriptions worldwide.

Founder typeWhat the US LLC solvesMain tool
Freelancer or agencyInvoice clients as a company and receive USDUS bank account
Online store ownerAccept cards at checkoutStripe on the LLC
Software or app founderCharge monthly subscriptions in USDStripe Billing on the LLC
Course or content creatorSell to a global audienceStripe or PayPal on the LLC

If you only receive payouts from platforms such as Upwork or Amazon in your own name, a Payoneer account can be enough. Many founders use both. If you need Stripe for your own store or want to invoice as a company, a US LLC is the route.

Many providers sell US company formation to Arab founders. Our comparison of US LLC services for Arab founders shows prices, renewals and what each one includes, with the date of each price.

Why does Arab LLC form your US company in Wyoming?

Arab LLC forms US companies in Wyoming because Wyoming costs less to form and to keep, and it has no state income tax on LLCs. Delaware fits founders who raise money from US investors with a C-Corp.

Wyoming LLCDelaware LLC
State filing fee$100Set by the Delaware Division of Corporations
Yearly state chargeAnnual report from $60$300 flat annual tax
State income tax on the LLCNoneNot covered on this page
Franchise tax on LLCsNoneThe $300 annual LLC tax

The Wyoming annual report costs $60 minimum per year(Source: Wyoming Secretary of State). Delaware charges LLCs a $300 flat annual tax(Source: 6 Del. Code § 18-1107). For a founder who sells online and does not raise US venture money, Wyoming keeps yearly costs lower. The Wyoming Secretary of State publishes the fees on sos.wyo.gov. Over five years the difference in state charges alone is $1,200 or more in favor of Wyoming.

Who is on the Arab LLC team?

The Arab LLC team has a founder, a formation operations lead, a banking and payments specialist, a tax and compliance lead, and a native Arabic editor who reviews every Arabic page before it goes live.

Each role has one owner. Formation operations files the company and the EIN request. Banking and payments prepares the bank and Stripe files. Tax and compliance covers Form 5472 and the yearly filings. Read about Arab LLC and how we work for the rules we follow.

Arab LLC is an independent company. We do not promise bank, Stripe or PayPal approval, because those decisions belong to the providers. We do not sell tax shortcuts.

We show the full first-year price, including the state fee, before you pay.

How do you start your US company with Arab LLC?

You start your US company with Arab LLC by sending four details: your passport, your address, three company name options and your business activity. We check them, take payment for the service and start the Wyoming filing.

Online checkout is not open yet. For now, the Get Started button opens the contact Arab LLC page. Tell us your country, what you sell and how your customers pay you. The team replies with the next step and the way to pay. The price stays the same.

Frequently asked questions

Can I form a US company while living in an Arab country?

Yes. US law lets non-residents form and fully own an LLC without visiting the US, without a visa and without a Social Security Number. You need a registered agent with an address in the state, which is included in our service.

Why Wyoming and not Delaware?

Wyoming costs less to form ($100) and to maintain (annual report from $60), with no state income tax and no franchise tax. Delaware charges LLCs $300 a year and suits founders raising from US funds with a C-Corp.

Do I need to travel to the US?

No. Formation, the EIN and applications to digital banks such as Mercury and Relay are done fully online.

Which countries do you serve?

Which US banks accept clients from Arab countries?

Digital banks such as Mercury, Relay and Wise Business accept non-residents most often, but it varies by country and business type. We publish our clients' approval rates by country once we have enough data.

What if my bank application is rejected?

We apply to more than one bank. If one rejects you, we help improve the file and apply elsewhere. The company and EIN stay yours either way.

Is Stripe available in my country?

It depends on the country and changes over time. Stripe supports the UAE directly, while residents of many Arab countries cannot open a local account. Our Stripe availability tracker shows each country with the date of the last check.

What is the Form 5472 penalty?

$25,000 per form per year under IRC § 6038A. Our Form 5472 service files it for you.
